Trade '88 TRX250R for Tiger 250?

What do you guys think? I might be able to trade my trx for the Tiger 250 that was on e-bay. Factor in 175 mile road trip one way. Have not seen teh Tiger but the pics looked good. The TRX runs good and is mostly stock. Shoud I try for this or not?

I would probably say yes, because what are the chances of you getting your hands on a tiger again. If you wanted another trx just save up, there easy to find.

just remember that you wont be riding that Tiger around much, if at all. but you have plenty of bikes to ride, thats why I keep mine so far, I have plenty of other toys to ride.

heck yes!! make that trade! tiger 250's are awesome. never rode nor saw one in real life but they look awesome and they are rare.

If you want the collector's piece to add to a collection, I say go for it. It would be cool to have that in your growing collection

If you got another TRX, or another sport quad...I would say go for the tiger...if not, i wouldn't know what to do!! but remember that :TrikesOwn ;)

well i have both.. and ride the trx's alot.. and tell ya.. right now the market is dead for trx's.. since the creation of the killer 4 strokes.. and if you want another collector piece go for it.. cause you can always find another trx, everyone is selling them and its getting to the point most are parting them, just to get rid of them.. i will always keep mine.. and got a new yama too.. if the trx is nothing special.. (ie motor, frame).. then trade it and pick up another one cheap down the rd..

I would keep my R unless I just truly desired a Tiger. I'm sure there great but parts availability, cost and do they really handle that well versus a 250R ATC??? Gotta think it all out.

I'm here as much as I can be but summer is HVAC $$$$$ season and I have been quite busy, unfortunately too busy to get on 3WW enough.

The 87 SX now has a 350X headlight, 200X front end complete, Cobra, 350X carb, 250R gold rims and 20" tires and numerous other goodies. I just don't have the time to get the high comp piston in there and it runs so well that it's not that important.

I choose my 250SX over my 250R EVERY DAY. It is just so much more user friendly and I will never sell any of my SX's but I will sell the R or trade it for a 350X?? or maybe a 4 stroke quad, I just don't care for untamable power on my MX track.

I finally got a mill, lathe and a few other tools to assist me in parts making etc. I will get a rear shock that works on the SX after airbox relocation and I'll be sure to share it with all of you guys and offer a kit or otherwise. And of course anyone with an SX question that does not get answered here is more than welcome to email me at ATCThomas@TMLP.com and I'll be glad to share my experiences or help with them.
