Here's the deal, I'm selling my Arctic Cat as soon as my 200x is fixed and proves itself to be reliable. I'm one of those people that always has to be getting something new, so I'm already thinking about what I'm gonn buy with the money. I'm hoping to get $3k-3500 out of the AC plus all my Christmas money (about $600). I've narrowed it down to a few machines: 400ex, TRX 250r, 250 dirt bike and 350x or ATC 250r, or try to talk my parents into letting me buy an 89-92 z28 or IROC Camaro. I like the 400ex because it's a late-model four-stroke so it should be fairly reliable. I like the TRX 250r because it's fast and handles well and doesn't really go down in value. I like the dirt bike plus trike because it's 2 machines. I like the Camaro because I love Camaro's. What would you do? Also what's the fastest and best handeling 2-3 year-old 250 2-stroke dirt-bike that I can get for about $2500? I know alot of people don't like these kinds of threads but getting input from other people always helps me make up my mind on things. Thanks.

Handeling definately goes out to the Cr 250's they have been the best handling for I don't know how long.

98 or 99 kx250, the crank can prove unreliable other than that for a few years back that is a beast, I loved mine, I weigh 280 lbs and my 99 was the best dirtbike I ever owned, very fast and an awsome dune bike. Although the cr500 is a better bike for the riding I do, my KX never broke my leg  --- good luck

If I were you, I would buy myself a nice F-body first. Street wheels definently have more function then a trike or quad.

The Atc250r is my ride of choice, So i would reccomend that. If your set on something new, The suzuki is probably the best bet. Honda should be releasing a updated 400 class machine, and probably a big bore.

I already have something to drive on the street, otherwise I would go for the Camaro in a heartbeat. If I could get one, it would be a second car. If I get the bike, reliability comes before speed. And I won't buy anything brand new because they cost too much and value drops too much too fast.

Youve got some good cash to work with--definently buy used for one....heres what Id go with from personal experience:

Sport Quad (in order of what id choose but what youd prbably prefer): 02 or 03 Raptor, Banshee, or one of the Polaris 400's or 500's.

Ute Quad: Yamaha Kodiak (01-02), Any 99 or later Polaris would be great for anyone, Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4 (a budyd has this one and its peppy and is FUN as they come, not sure whether it was LC'ed but im almost sure it was).

trike: 250R (85/86), 350X or even a Tri-Z or 86/87 T3 if ya find one!!

Definently dont go lookin for an air cooled sport or ute quad ;0)

My self Im a thumper fanatic but might trade my tt 500 for somthing newer just somthing about points and cond. I hate. I used to have an 88 IROC Z-28 5.7 tuned port injection fun and fast the cops thought so too ticket machine would stomp stock rust stains 5.0 (mustang) as far as bikes n trikes my next trike proj. will be either a 350x or 250r dirt bikes Im partial to yamaha but I used to have an old elisnore back in the day and loved it never ridden a kx but had a rm 100 that was pretty tough loived it too but then again im into the vintage thing .

My dad has 3 elsinores one is a riding bike runs good its a 76 Mt250 Then he has a 75 Cr 250. Then his pride and joy is his old 76 MT 250 That is mint exept the crank shaft end where the magneto goes on (it won't titen up) It only has 1289 miles on it he bought it new in 76 for $900. The 75 Cr250 don't run now( top end off) But it ran like a beast I never rode it i was 7 when he had it runing. See ya I might get some pics of them and his old 200x that he sold in 95. I just thought i share that with ya all.
