problems with rebuilt 200x engine???

hey my friend just rebuilt his 1985 honda atc200x and he put all new gaskets, wiseco high compretion piston and rings, and he looked at the carb and it lookes to be clean, now after he rebuilt his engine he cant get it to idle. anyone know whats wrong???

Theres a number of things, from something as simple as the idle being turned too low to the needle being worn or not adjusted correctly. But it could also be the timing advance springs under the CDI cover, replace those and it could idle like a dream. Of course remeber; the honda 200 class engines have never been renowned for their idleing. (minus the 200sx and 86-87 200x')
