View Full Version : Pocket Bike Riders
The "banners" are after you now. This is some if found after talking to a fellow ATV-er at work whose into pocket bikes. He said they aren't bringing anymore in. Don't know if that's true, but people are definitely out to get them.

they wont ban them from being imported will they? i dont see whats wrong with them. its no different than kid on a bicycle except you are going a little faster, which is better
From what little I've read so far because they are so easy to get (cheap and plentiful) there's too many injuries to children, too much noise & air pollution in neighborhoods, and too much riding them on public roads which is illegal. And its not just the pocket bikes, it's gas powered scooters, skate boards, and some even say electric powered ones too. Too many parent's turning their kids loose on them.
The guy I know told me a dealer told him that they have put an import hold on them mainly because of injuries. That's here-say to me as I didn't find anything on the net about this but I did find in just some quick searching several links about local bans officials around the country are trying to push through.

I'm no fan of them. I saw a kid take 3 falls in less than 5 minutes. No one under say 14 and without any common sense needs to be on one! I think of the like the squid bikes (crotch rockets), no to my liking but hey its a free country and they like 3 wheelers shouldn't be banned!

Some parents are to lazy to know whats right and wrong for their kids and they don't care untill they get hurt and they get made at the government then!
