does the raptor have a rev limter like the 400ex and ds650 coz me and my mate own a 02 raptors each stock and when in neutral and u rev them out they sound like they dont rev right out it sounds like they r limited thers no hesitation when trailprotrailpro riding and i no that reverse has a rev limter and can u buy a cdi without the rev limiter

i'm sure the raptor does have a rev limiter, but i don't recall what it is,,,on my 400EX it's 9300rpm's,,,and another thing, i wouldn't be reving it up that high with it in neutral, that's not good on things,,,

found it, the craptor's rev limiter is 9000rpms,,,later

They do come with Rev Limiter to 9K...they red line @ 9K. THere are people who you can send them to and have them removed form the stock ignition system though.

I, personally, wouldn't want to run one (sport quad) without a rev limiter,,,WB Rev box for the 400EX raises the limit to 10,500rpms but i rarely hit the limiter as it is, and especially with a mostly stock engine the stock rev limiter is the safest way to go,,,
