Fast Crank Rebuilding

On Monday I shipped a TriZ crank out to PR Racing in Toledo, Ohio. Phone# is 419-472-2277, and i spoke with Eric. Wiseco referred me to them, since Wiseco doesn't do crank rebuilds. They called today to get my credit card number, and let me know it would be shipping back tomorrow(Friday). Now THATS fast service, especially when you consider they had to order the rod kit from Wiseco! Total cost, including labor, the rod kit, sales tax and return shipping - $175.09
Needless to say, Im quite happy. I should have it on Monday, with enough time to be racing Ashland Co. Fair on Thursday evening.

You gotta admit that's a pretty low price. $175 really isn't that bad for an amazing turn-around.

I paid about the same as TimSr, when I was getting my Z together before Haspin. Maybe your guy is just cheap? :p

now that i think about ,its locked up now, thats the one tim has now, i got a year out of it

LOL! Im not into budget machine shop work, for cranks or boring! Too often, you get what you pay for. The rod kit alone was $82.66, close to what I priced it from Wiseco or even Dennis Kirk. By the way, they apparently got it shipped out yesterday as well, because I got it today! Not bad. Shipped out on Monday, and got back on Friday! Ill bet I get more than a year out of it too! I know what Ill be doing tomorrow. Then Ill let you know what i find when I take the old motor apart.

They had problems finding the the thrust washers to do mine, had to keep it an extra 3 days till they got them from Yamaha.

You must have used an OEM rod, because the washers are included in the Wiseco kit.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is TimSr. Who knows though, maybe they just told me that and kept it a little longer while waiting for the parts :p

GT THUNDER rebuilds them for $125 including the rod and labor.And I'm sure that they are done good.he has built motors for pro riders.Shipping would be a little more,so it would be about $150 total I think.
