I jsut picked me up a 1971 Honda SL 100 for free. Apparently all it needs is a carb and ti will be runnign well again. The bike cosmetically looks good and has compression. So I'll see waht I can do with her. Anyone have parts for them?

It has spark, good sign, I put some starting fluid in there to try and get her to crank on her own. Not happening, The plug wasn't tightened down with a wrench though, just finger tight. It also seems to me that the transmission might be fried. It will only go into first gear and neuteral, I tried rolling it back and fourth also, no luck. What could cause this?

I would gladly, if I had a digital camera. I'll have one soon, we had to take the one from "santa" back because our computer is a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro.

My first motorcycle was a 69 SL100. I "inherited" it from my brother when he graduated from High School in 72. It was a great little bike.
