Hello,

did the 1986 suzuki 230 quadsports come with shaft or chain drive? IF both, can the motors be interchanged?

Thanks

Quad sports had chain and The Quad runner had shaft drive. I am not sure if they will inter change

wrong.

They came with both, CodyDogs. THe ones with shaft were 5 Speed Autoclutch w/ e-start and the ones with chain were Manual with a sideways kicker.

and theres no feasable way to interchange engines without more work than its worth....and thats alot.

i believe 300ex is correct, I have a quadsport, its chain drive, manual clutch. I BELIVE the quadrunner was shaft, and auto plus electric. ( I think)

They were available in both, Holic. Both models were "Quadsports" but had differant ID's (LT230E may have been it but I beleive it could be differant as the quadrunners were LT's in the late 80's).

The quadsport LT230S is chain-drive, manual cluch, air-cooled...

And its not all the Quadrunner is shaft-drive...the Quadrunner 250 2X4 198? is chain-drive, but all quadsport ares chain-drive...

the 300ex engine is too big to fit in a small frame as the LT230S...so you can fit a 250cc liquid-cooled engine...(that what i do)...

I have an 87' LT230E quadrunner with electric start, chain drive, and a pull starter instead of a kick starter. Ryan

Hey, you wouldn`t happen to have and fenders for the quadrunner would you. If you do i would be happy to buy them off you.
