To buy Or not to buy

Hi guys,
Ive got a chance to get an 86 TRX 125. The guy wants 200 for it. It's all there and the motor is in pieces, (he just says that reverse is bad) :mad: in a box. THe rest of it is in really good shape. I just have a few questions, as this will be the first quad I may buy.
How are these to get parts for, are they hard to find?
What years interchange?
Is there anything that interchanges between that and the ATC 125M?
Are there any other motors that would fit, if it came to that?

hey, trx125 is an odd one because of reverse. but a 110 or 125 should bolt in, you've got lots to measure from.

The trx 125 is a beast, small but still a beast. I would go for it! They are not very fast but nothing stops them. I think the motor is very simmilar to the 125m but it has reverse instead of hi-low if I remember right but it has been a few years since I last rode one.

Thanks again for the help and replies. I do have yet another question. Where on this 1986 TRX 125 do you find the Vin and serial numbers? I found the model year sticker, but nothing else. I must be looking in the wrong place. Thanks,
