I did a transaction with a guy on another forum. Now He said he sent the package out (I forget the date .. its in my PM's) but as of this friday it was be 6 WEEKS... He doesnt have a tracking number but said if I had a fax machine he would email me the receipt. Thats not really the issue though. I really believe he sent out the axle. But I think it got "lost" ... He's called people, I've called people, they all say it probably got held up at the boarder.... I am starting to believe it got stolen. Now My question is how long do I wait? ...it should of been like 7-10 days .. (usually like 15 though) When do I Finally say ok its been stolen .. and what do we do? .. I mean who's fault would it be? ..
Thanks for any help ..
also if anyone has a fax machine and would be willing to help me out with that .. and possibly a scanner to send it to me .. that would be GREAT
Thanks, again.

Our post office normally says to wait 30 days. Did you get insurance?

Going via the post office: I can not stress insurance enough on International packages. Even if you only get $20 worth of insurance on a $500 item (s). Why?? Because the Insurance slip has a number on it that the postmaster can track ( at least 85% of the time ). I know this because I have had to use it a couple of times. One guy tried to scam me by saying he didn't get the package ( $280 item with shipping ). How ever when the postmaster tracked the package it showed he did get it ( 2 weeks earlier ). So I got a copy of the tracking info and then scanned the info and sent it to him. He changed his tune right away. I only insured the package for $45 ( cost me $1.30 ). That $1.30 saved me a lot of money.
Also, I do know that the shipper is the one that must contact the post office. They will need to fill out a form with proof of shipment and all the information for the package. It can take 4-6 weeks ( or more ) for them to get back to you. Sometimes they don't. But it is worth a try.
I can also take a fax. I have to change a few settings on my phone system ( we very seldomly fax anything ) to be able to activate it. If the guy can't get the recipt scanned and sent to you, then email me ( no PM's ) and I will get you the number for my fax and the best time to send it.

I have often waited up to seven weeks for items shipped from the US.
On the other hand I shipped a brush guard to the southern states a while back and it arrived in 11 days. Give it a few more days.

Our (Canadian) Postal system is notriously slow. Combine that with the fact that the item is crossing the border from the states, "hightened security concerns", I'm not suprized that it's taken this long. Give it another week or so.....
