Mid throttle problems on 125

I'm am rebuilding a 1985 Honda trx 125. I finnally got it running but only at idle or wide open throttle. I have cleaned the carb and installed the rebuild kit. The only part that is not new in it is the needle jet holder, but it looks fine to me. Another question was the installation of the needle jet, the manual shows it installed from the bottom, but the holder will not screw in with this configuration. It fits perfectly however when installed on top with the jet sticking out into the camber. The camfered end is installed downward towards the holder.

Any help on this mid throttle problem would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

im preety sure it is installed from the top, the camber may interfear but i dont know for sure. I know The Moto Champ 100 from yamaha was almost IDENTICAL to a trx185 and it was on top because i had one. Hope i could help. Check your float, that gave me a problem before to.

Yeah its weird because the needle jet that was in there before I rebuilt it was level with the wall of the chamber. But it seems to fit perfectly when installed from the top. The float is non-adjustable on this model unfortunately. Do you think a brand new needle jet holder is the answer? Thanks.
