ATT: S10 Owners

I own a 97 S10 short bed regular cab with a 2.2 inline 4 cylinder.
Does anyone own one of a close year with the 4.3 V6?
What kind of gas mileage do you get?
Mine only gets about 23 because i usually have my foot to the floor.
Thinking about doing a swap but with the price of gas I need to know how much different it will be.

Just screw a piece of strapping behind the foot pedal.. will save you money for sure !

will also slow you down.. but you know.. can't win them all !.. LOl.

I have a 94 with a 4.3. I drive foot on the floor some too and get about 17-18 other wise I can get up to 25. if you do a 4.3 swap a carb will get worse milage then fi though keep that in mind.

My nieghbor has one and we found it to do about 18-19 miles per gallon. I'd say your doing pretty good. I had the 2.8 and didn't do much better then 24-25.

Mine is a 96 with 4.3 and 325,000 miles :eek: and I still get around 15 - 19 miles to the gallon and I drive it hard. :beer
