So my friends dad bought an off brand 4 wheeler off of e-bay.The name is a Q-jay or something like that. The bike is a 250 and we can't get it to go over 18 mph.Has anyone owned one of these? Is this thing governed somehow for the break in period on the motor? It was bought almost 6 months ago and the " dealer "cannot be found anymore, nor can I find the website for this manufacturer anymore.Does anyone have any info on them or what the problem might be ?The advertised top speed was somewhere near 45 mph.

Thanks for any help or info
Roger

well the motor has to be somthing out of a common brand so id take it to a shop and let them take a look at it and see what the deal is

Need a little more information to know what it is, but if its a Taiwanese off brand, they commonly put a restrictor on the intake, sometimes inside the air filter, or else in the exhaust where it bolts to the jug on most of their minis, so it wouldnt surprise me if theyve dont it to their larger models. Its got nothing to do with break-in.
