.... Realllllll helpful...

Back on topic...

I've used Zip-Ties,, seems like every license plate I see on a atv is zip tied on. I have although seen these plates that hang from the rear grab bar that the plate gets bolted to..

As for on the front,, i've seen people bolt them right to the front plastic,, Theres not really much you can do, Just get pretty zip ties, heh :p

I don't have plates on any of my machines...but I'm guessing the best thing you could use is zip-ties, or small nuts and bolts(not screws  )

I put mine in the trunk! If I get pulled over I would just tell him it fell off during riding today and I will put it back on when I get home. I am sure they wouldn't fine you...main thing is you have it registered! ;)

I used rivets on my 350X and attached it to the slope on the rear fenders behind the seat. Adult beverage rack covers it up a little tho :beer

on my warrior, i made a bracket with 1/8 inch steel with 4 holes on it to mount the plate itself, on the ends (bent on 90 degree angles) i drilled a hole in each end, bout the middle, and used the grab bad bolts (since the bolt can go all the way through) and added a lock washer and nut to the bolt with the bracket on, and blamo, you got yourself a pro looking licence plate holder that wont get damaged and such

Here in Louisiana, they give you a liscence plate in the form of a reflective sticker. I put mine on the toolbox on my big red.

Just keep one in your trunk, if you get stoped just say that your other one fell off and you lost it and that you didn't want to lose your second one.

If you want to follow the law: I just attach it to the grab bar with zip ties or some metal wire.

Now, in Ohio we have plates. Anybody else have suggestions on mounting them other than the obvious zip tie to the grab bar? Pictures would be very helpful Thanks!

I live in Toledo DitchMud, and I have never seen plates. I have an Ohio ORV sticker on my CR250, but never heard of a ORV plate?

Ohio started with plating atv's last year. When my orv stickers expired I had to purchase the new plates which of course cost a lot more than the old sticker. Dirtbikes are still just the sticker.

In WI we get a 3" by 3" decal that has to be place forward of the rider. Most people just slap them on the fuel tank. I think that's tacky as hell. I made two plates out of sheet aluminum and mounted them to the fork with with zip ties. The original plan was to drill holes and screw them into the fork. I plan on making better plates when my registration expires. I needed them on ASAP for ice fishing so I cobbled them for now. Once they were in place I just bent the corners in towards the fender so they have less chance of catching on something.

WI Trikers...how do you display your registration?
