Are the vast majority of three wheeler fanatics idiots, or do they just come across as such? I ask this question in reference to the poor quality of posts I read. There's a lot of good information on this board, but it's seriously hard to understand what some of you guys are saying.

Please start proof reading and use some punctuation, or better yet brush up on your grammar skills too.

Does this bother anyone else?

What do you think of all the people that don't use the search? Would someone that missed a multi page thread on this topic(a sticky topic) be an idiot too? lmao

Perhaps it would, BUT in my defense let me just say that I wasn't asking a question! :)

I was thinking it was okay that I missed this thread, but then I say it was "stickied". I think I'll have to come up with a new handle now...
-----------
Seriously, I this is my first stop in the "open forum". I think I'll start referring some posters to this thread and the previous one. I'm not trying to be a jerk. This is a serious concern for me. I will be reading something and then get to a technical description and someone has a brain fart and starts making zero sense.

 Call me an idiot if you want, but you were able to understand what I posted.

:) :)

It annoys me when people don't tell what the post is about in their title. A title like "Question about..." forces you to look to see if you can add to the topic. Most of the time I don't bother to look so it may be their own loss.

I think you expect too much. Many of the people here aren't great but they could be a ton worse at it.

Yeah.. Umm all of people on this site are probably "hicks" .. so what do you want them to do.. I mean they know stuff about 3 wheelers and such. But they just can't spell... Leave them alone! ;)

It bothers me quite a bit, but its almost come to the point where I can't make any difference, so I just pretty much turn the cheek. Those of you that feel like you have a chance in hell of educating the general populace have my blessing :)

I agree completely, but its neither the spelling nor the grammer that bothers me. Its when people dont even make an attempt. I hate chatroom shorthand with a passion, and I wont even respond to posts written that way. I dont mind poor spelling or mispunctuation if a person tries, but if they dont even make an attempt or seem to even take some pride in writing things that are difficult to read, I wont read it. This is all sounding very familiar to me, but if a person doesnt give enough of a crap to write in a way that poeple can read it, then I dont give enough of a crap to answer it. If a person wishes to communicate like a 5 year old, its their choice, but they shouldnt whine if nobody answers other than some other person who writes like a 5 year old.

Yes I agree,, The crappy typing gets real old and annoying fast, But no matter how many times you nit-pick at it,, it never seems to make a dent.... It seems like theres more of it everyday...

If everyone put 1/2 as much effort into there postings as they do their machines, the forums would be drastically improved.

I might add this: We might need to take donations to buy some keyboards for the users that don't have and of these buttons: ( . , ! " ' ). These users need to realize the buttons are there to be used. They are not there just to fill up the key board.
Note: My 7 year old son types better than a lot of users on here.

I'd like to see some of the more poorly written posts corrected by moderators in red print if they deem necessary. I have often wanted to do that myself.

I've also noticed that we seem to make little distinction between your/you're, there/their/they're, were/we're, are/our, et cetera. I know this is not a site dedicated to proper grammar, but some of the posts I read leave me analyzing the text just to try to decide what the author is saying.

Hi 4Cyl,
No, we don't get to ride on the beach here, except once a year when there is an ATV race. As for the 750K, I tend to swap back and forth between 3 wheeler and classic bike projects. I really love the lines of the old Honda 4 Cylinders. Last year I restored a 73 500K, and cleaned up a 73 350F. They really make sweet machines.
