tranny fluid in my car

I want to change my tranny fluid in my car to a synthetic fluid but how do i get all the old fluid out? dropping the pan don't get it all out, or will it be fine to leave what is left in the converter and then add the synthetic. will it hurt to mix the fluids regular and synthetic? thanks

it will be fine to leaave whats in the converter but if you want to get all that out, you will need to change a few times.
