My friends have some private propoerty where they have built an ATV track with 2 large metal ramps. The small one is set at about 20ft that I have hit before. And the new ramp(the big one) was set at 60ft,, they moved it up to 30ft so people could practice it,, So I hit it a few times, It was the biggest ramp I think any 3wheeler has ever hit. The vid does not do this thing justice,, Its an MPEG file and I can't post it ,, its only 186 k,, some one help me post it ??

That's cool man. We need that video. I hit a 40ft double with a 200x when I was in high school several times. It is fun.

Sent the pic to HondaAtc, It was made with my digital camera in film mode so don't get you hopes up for a good clear picture, And I was talking distance with the 30ft gap. But I ain't talking no table top,, this is a gap, and the top of the ramp is 8ft, its scary looking running up on this thing in 3rd gear, next time we go out there I will get some pics

I was thinking that the other day. It's been done on a 4-wheeler and even a double black flip on a motorcylce so some one needs to do it on a 3-wheeler. :TrikesOwn

Really? I've seen a ton of the single back flips but didn't know anyone pulled off a double already.

It was bottoming out pretty good, at the beggining of the clip, when it is stopped you can get a good look at the small ramp. I rode my buddies trx 450, and OMG what a awsome bike. jumps that where hard on the X, the 450 was soaking up like it was nothing. I have another clip from the jump before that one where I did a HUGE nose dive landing, I pulled it off, but it was a clencher,, if you know what I mean :)

Yep, I saw in on X-Games a few months a go. He did 2 complete backflips in the air but he landed in foam or something. It was a really far drop so that way he had more time to do it.
looks like alot of fun :D yes now we need a back flip hehe

Thats AWESOME! My Dad's friend used to jump his X all the time. The one time, when he was about 16 he went 116ft on his X. When he landed his back tires blew, the frame snapped, and his rear sprocket and axel broke. He never went off that jump again. He only got about ten foot of height. You blew him away there.

Here is my buddy hitting the big ramp at 60ft. You can see the small ramp in the background. The small one is very fun to hit, but still big enough to get respect.

it probably has been mangled over the years because he has a lot of stories. He had evidence that it happened thats why I believed him. He showed me the weld he put in the frame where it broke and the axle he had redone. I'm guessing 10ft because he was high enough to clear a trailer supposidly.
hmm i think i would prolly piss my self if i went over a jump like that lol at least the first time anyways, with my luck i would fall short and kiss the handel bars lol

Oldy but a goody...Thats a nice little video.
Get any more footage? I do a little freestyle jumping myself (mostly supermans and other simple stuff) only not on a purpose built ramp like that (dirt jumps)
Gotta give ya props on beating the old 350x...Its probably about the equivalent to me taking my xr600r on the mx track...good times but hard on the body and the machine ;)

that is about a 30 foot gap and landed close to 60 foot. most freestylers go by the gap to tell the distance. by freestyle standards that would be called a 30 foot jump even if in the air for 60. we would call it a 30 foot over jump. when i say i jumped 60 foot on the freestyle jump i am in the air between 60 and 75 feet.
jensenracing77
07-05-2010, 07:56 PM
lol that is so awesome. I don't see how you can jump 116ft at only ten feet though
all a mater of how the jump is set up. you can jump 116 feet and be a foot off the ground or 50 feet off the ground. i was jumping a 200S 60 feet when i was 15 years old and only getting 2 feet off the ground. that same jump i can now hit on my 400EX and it is nothing more than a speed bump. (well there is a house there now)
maybe a better way to put it. lets go with a 116 foot tabletop that you are going 10 foot in the air on. no take a dozer and knock the center out of it and you are 20 feet in the air.
