question for anyone in california

can someone tell me what the restrictions are for a red registration sticker as opposed to a green one. thanx to all who reply

The red stickers are basicly the same , but you cannot ride on "Spare the air" days

The stickers only come into affect when riding on some public land. Green stickers can ride all year around.
