ok ive got a 5500mx and a 7500. we didnt even bother with the mx yet but we have been messing around with the 7500. we cleanded the carbs put new gas in and we can get it to run but no long at all or good. any one got any tips to gettin these things running? or where to get manuals? that would help alot. i think we just need to get the carbs adjusted right.

Manuals you can get through denniskirk in the snowmobile section.

Clean fresh gas, top out the oil (if its in a separate tank), pour in some gasline antifreeze (works wonders), and keep a can of Liquid fire or ethanol around for one pull starts.

It sounds like the carbs aren't set right. Like you said :p

make sure the fuel pump diaphrams are good if not they won't keep the carbs full

if they are bad the rubber over the steal mesh will be gone and rotted and it will just be steel mesh..lol the diaphram is normally on the bottem side of the carb on the rotax's if im not mistaken....

Good Luck with it. You might want to see if theres a bunch of gas that somehow leaked down into the case. If there is I've heard it won't run right and probably won't start. I think this may be the problem with my sled but I haven't had a chance to work on it yet...

Are you getting good spark? Compression?
