hey, does anybody out there know how to keep a yamaha big bear's drum brakes from freezing up in the winter?

yeah press them when your moving so they get the ice taken off them.

don't work once there frozen you''ll stretch the cable before you can get the pads free

heat some water up on the stove and pour it on the brakes.. That should help free them up a bit. I think you can also get something for your car that works too.. like some sort of de icer but i dont know what it iscalled.

Danny I had to de-ice my SX's brakes today. JUst once you start moving in like 2-3 gear press on em till you start to slow down.

:twisted: Or bring it to me and I'll fix em for ya. :naughty:

Or put it in gear and move her if thats your problem, I heard a loud crack and my wheeles started turning afterwards

what do you need brakes for? they only slow ya down!
