I don't smoke anything. My partner in work smokes 2 packs a day. He got fired a few weeks back for missing time and called me a couple weeks ago at about midnight - crying. He had a bad cough for about 2 months and the hospital kept telling him he had walking pneumonia. He went back and after a cat scan they found a spot on his lung and in his lymph nodes and said it was cancerous. They are gonna try and remove 1 lung and chemo. He has 5 kids, is 42yo and his family desperately needs his income. Not trying to start a battle as I know it's hard to quit but smoking will kill most people eventually. Don't start and quit if you can.

If it was legal" weed "is the way to go except it slow you down waaaay dowwwn i wanna quit cigs but it very hard. i picked up beer when i quit weed even though its legal(beer)its a problem! if youve never done it dont cuz it becomes a problem Trust me..

my brother and his wife smoke cigerettes, most of the guys I work with smoke cigerettes and weed. I rough counted how much money my brother and his wife smoke and it about equals the amount of my car insurance payment and storge unit fee in a month($300 roughly), thats alot of money!!!!!!!! One guy I work with smokes 3 packs a day, everything about him reakes of smoke, clothes, truck, work truck has a film of tobacco on the windows, even his leather tool pouch smells of smoke. This guy lights cigerettes off of cigerettes!!!! now thats bad. On top of that he smokes weed 3-4 times a day. I personally think smoking cigerettes is a very nasty habit, even worse is chewing tobacco, that is just plain horrendous.

Being a little older I have been there and done that. It isn't cool to be smoking or chewing. I chewed a can of copenhagen everyday for about 15 years. I went to the dentist and the sent me to an oral surgeon. I had to have bioptsys (sp) done on my mouth, they thought I had cancer. Let me tell you with a wife and 2 kids, that is scary. Jan 31st was 2 years since I have had a chew. I get the urge everyday to take a dip, its tough to quit. I have gained a few lbs since, but damn food sure does taste good again. So if your one of these kids that isn't smoking all the time quit while you can still do it somewhat easily.

You dont really gain from tobacco period, smokin or chewin- to some people inculding me it will tend to relax me a bit. I chew because I absoulty hate smoking, I could tell a difference of how short of breath I was in one week of smoking.

i dont smoke anything, my ENTIRE family minus my grandfather smokes cigs, and half of them smoke weed....idk, but i think it is the stupidest thing ever....and i swear to god people only start doing it because others do and they are too weak to quit...i dont drink either, and everyone on my mother side does...my family has had serious problems with drinking and as far as i can see its not worth drinking or smoking...i have had friends that tried to get me to drink and smoke, but i just laugh at them and tell them i dont want to and they look like douche bags, and they are cool with it...i dont know, too many risks that go along with both but the one thing i am addicted to is ATV's and my g/f and..... well.... thats all im gonna say about that....

Dude, how did you get that mad racing pic soooo big? I have to scroll left to right to read your posts. Anyway, it's a real bad habit and I try to quit all the time. A person I know was hymotized for it and is doing quite well so far. Good for you. Peer pressure is very hard to overcome

Me too, I've seen gorgeous girls who I look at and say damn I'm gonna get with her, then I see the pack of smokes. Once my buddy was great friends with a very pretty nice girl who had good things happening in life (job, car, going to school etc.) then he found out she was a smoker, he was torn on it but he did the right thing and protected his own health by calling it quits with her atleast until she quits.

Im not trying to be against the people that smoke on the board, dont take it personally, but the way I see it is-
you are paying to kill yourself in a way. Some people get cancer some dont, but the chance is always there.
I have begged my Grandma to stop, the best she can do is a pack of Nicrorette everyday. Well I think its better than smoking, but anyways. :TrikesOwn

Occasionally (Like maybe 6 times a year) I will smoke a cigar or two. Usually swisher sweets, or a black and mild. Special occasions only though. Usually what happens is we'll get some and use them around 4th of july (To light the fireworks) and I'll smoke probably a pack (4) that night and then again during new years. Maybe once or twice between then. The last time I smoked was new years and I had 2 then, and it was a looooong time before then I had any.

Tryed smokeing and didnt like it too stinky. Tryed Copenhagen and loved it still love it. Tryed a cigar and like them but only have them for special occasions Swisher Sweats are the best. I only do it because it relaxes me.

Started chewing, that turned into cigarettes, then turned into drinking, which turned into smoking weed, which then turned into harder drugs. Needless to say I now only smoke a pack every3-4 days, and weed about once every 2 weeks, (used to be every day all-day), and drink occassionally.I gave up the harder drugs (they only lead to death and serious trouble), got a good job and got my life back on track and havent looked back. Needles to say, no matter what anyone says, nicotine is the gateway drug. Not trying to put anyone down, you will do whatever you want whenever (very rebellious when I was younger), just trying to warn the youngsters out there that it just isnt worth it.

I enjoy a good cigar only (very) occasionally, usually when I'm camping. Smoked a few Cubans in the BVI's and I must say they are just a passed on smokey myth. There are far better cigars out there (try something dark from the Dominican Republic). Both of my parents smoke or smoked, however my dad quit cig's 25 years ago and now he smokes a pipe. He thinks he's Sherlock Holms. My mother still smokes cig's at 57, however, she really just lights them, takes a few drags, then they just sit in the ashtray like some horrible incense.
