Still cheaper than a Durablue and has that cool old school look. Does anybody know who Jez and Faye is anyway?

LOL what club I am aware of only these 2. I was unique a year ago. DANG you oldschoolers.

The third set was on a 250r on ebay about 4 months back. They were red also, wonder if they are same set. The 250r itself went for crazy cash, but it looked like it was a well built machine.

They Can't be the same set, the splines are different on the late model 350X vs. 250R... OR I'd A BEEN BID'n @ least $50 more than they went for! :naughty:

Everything I've searched on here said they AREN'T!?!? So WTF is it, I mean these went for a steal then IMO. I would a been all over them if I had proof they'd work on an 85R!!!

That "RETARD" woulda made more $$ had he known that & stated as much in his auction. I'm piss'd now cause I searched in here and found @ least 2 threads where they SUPOSIDLY couldn't interchange the 350X to 250R hubs... So much for the good ol SEARCH FUNCTION. Next time I'll flat out ask about it either way.

Just so you dont throw a fit. I tried to put a 350X hub on my R Axle, and it wouldn't fit.

DuraBlue is wrong.

Hey jez I noticed you put a bid in on a 250R.........Westcoast hub bound?

I have both 250r and 350x, the hubs wouldn't interchange. Not sure what the difference was, it was about 2 yrs ago that I tried, but they were not the same.

Hi Yardbird,

Yeah, it looks a nice bike, so I figured I'd have a go. Won it too, so it'll be crossing the pond sometime in the next few weeks. I need to say a HUGE Thank You to my good friend Jim (x.system) for all his help in getting this bike to me. He's been an absolute Legend! Cheers Jim :beer

To answer your question, the hubs were actually bought for a Vintage Desert Racer Resto I'm doing to an '86 ATC250R. It's a little way off completion, but it should be a beauty when I've finished it. I tell you what, it'll be a huge "DOH" if they don't fit as I've been looking for a set for so long now. Ahhh well, we have to live to learn I guess. I'll let you all know whether they fit once they arrive. Fingers crossed LOL

Cheers,
Jez

Hey Guys,

They arrived today, so I'm gonna put everyone out of their misery and answer the million dollar question:

They do actually fit the axle of my '86 ATC250R perfectly :D :w00t:

Now that's made my day!!!!! You guys really had me worried there for a while. You know, these things are absolutely awesome. They look totally indestructable and are a complete work of art. A real piece of quality engineering, just like the Westcoast swingers. Now I've just gotta remove that awful red paint.

Cheers,
Jez

I'm in Aww. Why will the stock 250R hubs not interchange with the 350X hubs?

Maybe they were listed wrong? Maybe the 350X had an aftermarket axle? who knows... but I'm glad it worked for you Jez! :beer

I must admit... we're both on the same track with the Baja retro trikes.... I have an IMS large capacity tank on my R and just mounted up the Hi-Flite desert seat... unfortunately, the tank angle with the seat is different.... oh well... I got to use the desert tank with the normal seat or the desert seat with the OEM tank.

Damnit, I missed this auction, they would have went perfect with me +4 westcoast swinger, and +4 durablue for the 350x. Man, that would have been nice long and wide eh?
