nice car, but i dont think it puts out 450 horses with the setup you described. Its nice to see young people like me going for american muscle rather than imported noise machines.

I think it has it, dosnt matter any way, you can have 350 horse power with a 3000 rpm stall converter and it will flat launch off the line, and he said he has a transe brake, uses the reverse valve on the valvebody to reroute the trans fluid, any way, you can launch it at any rpm you want. So its gotta be freakin quick off the line. I will only drive 60/70's muscle and pony cars, i dont want to ride around in cracker jack toy.

its 450 horsepower at the crank, had it on the dyno, not sure what it puts to the ground becuse there are no full body style car dynos around hear that are open to the public, but i tell ya with that trans brake it just go's any rpm ..its wicked

Round here me and my buds like to grind the rice machines into the ground with bad lifted trucks and classic/60's-80's muscle cars. One of my buddies has a 1982 big block powered chevy wagon that hits the ricers real bad. My other buddy has a 67 camaro, I have a K20 that I'm lifting and putting some speed parts on, and my other buddies also have interesting works in progress too.

Wouldn't you still need to be at 3000rpms to launch even with a trans brake? I don't know too much about auto trannies, but i agree that no matter how much HP it has, it will launch hard when you let go of the brake.

I was just thinking, its pretty funny that no too many of us like ricers or any imports for that matter, but there are only a select few of us that have american made trikes. lol

MTS

heh yea it was 3000 or 3500 cant quite remember but it was in that range, the car is like a rocket out of the hole, before we put the new tranie and rear end it just had the stock rear end with a set of richmond gears and a TH350 with a shift kit so we couldnt launch at its full potential becuse we would blow the rear end out, but even with that we did low 13;s in the quatermile, not sure with the new set up tho becuse of the shaved door handels the basterds wont let us race it, so we might be puttin the old door latches back on...:)

looks pretty badass, im currently in the process of buyin a 52 Ford pickup and puttin a blown 428 CJ motorr in it, or one of my friends Mustang motors, hes a world reknowned (i know that words supposed to go there but i dont know how to spell it) mustang/ford motor builder.......

I helped put my uncles 57 Chevy together, it has 980 horses without a bottle, he bought the whols NOS setup and put it in, but never fillled the bottle, nor does he plan to soon, tooooo much money to go and wreck that motor, o, and its street legal, if ya wanna see pics i could post some......it gets me all tingly everytime i see it lol, its burnt more ricers then any otrher car ive seen......not just beat them but totally dominated, like Supra's that say they have 1300hp(BS), just get left

Supra's would never dream of having as much torque as it though. I gotta get pics of my uncles 69' vette, 500 rwhp, it has the rare 400hp engine and if it were completely stock it is valued at $52,000 as far as one of the auto price guides go. I want to see pics of the 57, somthin like that will give me goose bumps.

sorry i just kinda like stoe your thread in a way, so comment on his pics, jus look at these dont comment too much, the part that most people hate him for, is he had the car since he was 16, and he had it perfect original, he had this high dollar Porsche Red color paint, and it was like that 6 months and he tore it apart and made this, he painted it himself this time, and he had no experience paintin cars and it turned out flawless, and if you ever tried paintin a car/truck you know black is a pain in the ass to get flawless even if youve done it multiple times.....its the original motor, a 400, its punched out to a 409....and my grandma did the interior, she recovers furniture, so my uncle put her to work, :D
