My friend has a 250x. his buddy has a 400ex stock axle, and "supposedly" cleaned it off when he replaced it with aftermarket, and said that it is inscribed on it: 400ex, 300ex, 250x.
Everywhere I looked they are different part #'s for the bikes, (400ex/300ex) however, they both take the same bearings. could it be possible that the axle is just longer? would it bolt on? or are the carriers different lengths? his 250x has the hubs welded on and doesn't want to bother cutting them off to try it if his attempts are going to be in vain.
anyone ever try this swap?
