Ok i was just browsing the net and saw the yamaha tt225 trail bike, there chain drive but being 225cc i was just think could you bolt the head onto a ytm?or maybe buy a performance piston/rings and maybe a cam and exhaust from a 225tt trail bike and get better performance by using these parts in the ytm???Another idea that crossed my mind was a 225tt engine in a yamaha 200 chain drive trike, this would give you more power and also a manaul clutch.....just some late night thoughts/ideas from browsing the net, what do you guys think??i'm just looking for a project..

if you wanted to carry the manual clutch over onto a ytm200 chain you would have to switch the botom end to, I'd imagine its possible to get the whole motor in there except you would have to do some fabricating to make some motor mounts.

if you left it as a dirtbike, it would be quicker because its quite a bit less weight, but trikes are better so it would be neat to see a ytm200 with a manual clutch

no i meant bolt the whole tt225 engine into a chain driven 200,the 225 tt engine would be more powerful due to the new electronic ignition timing and all that crap thats out now..

Understand your thoughts but let me up grade the one to the next level.

Don't dick around with the 225 at all and shoot for the 250F motox motor. Now your talking some ponies there! Problem is, it's most likely too much for that little 200 with no rear suspension to handle.
