Has anyone seen any writeups on the old quad conversion kits made by Dirt E Works? I have a Tri Z with that conversion and would like to get more information on what parts they used in the frontend. I found a article on the astro kit but I have nothing but an ad on my kit.

cool...so that is a front end kit made by a different manufacturer than Astro. i didnt think it was astro when i saw the seperate two tone front plastics.

those fenders are from an lt250r quadracer. i bet you it has the same a arms as an lt250r too. i would need a better picture of the front end though.
sorry but i don't know anything about the conversion other than some use lt250r front end parts.

It looks like an Astro lit to me, but I cant tell from the pictures. A picture of the spindle without the wheel would help. Also, if they are using other quad parts, the brake pads and the bolt pattern helps. While the plastic looks Suzuk, it is custom plastic made by Maier specifically for the kit, and it is based on LT250R plastic, but bolts to the TriZ radiator like the stock shrouds.

If it is an Astro or Astro copy, they did not use anybody else's quad front end. Not even the wheel hub. The hubs used the Suzuki bolt pattern (with smaller diameter bolts) and the rims were Douglas.

The frontends do look similar. So Tim when you mounted your banshee brake system, did you use the conversions spindles? Did you hold on to the kits brake system? Have you found a bushing kit that would work on the A Arms? I know I'm full of questions, but its not like everyone owns a Quad Z.
