Im trading my 91 jimmy for a ranger that has a supesion lif and big tires and a 308 in it i know its a ford im a dodge guy but id rather have a ford than a GMC
i need to weld new floor boards in it thats all what do you guys think

I cant wait till I get my 79 highboy, congrats on the truck, at least you stay american though.

Sorry to say this but there is no 79 Highboy. Ford quit making the Highboy back in 77 1/2. All 3/4 tons from July 77 to 79 where nicknamed Low Boys since they sat like a 2wd. It could be a highboy since it has a lift but no factory.
Yamahaman what year is the ranger? Im quessing it has a 302 in it bored and stroked to a 308 right?

No stroke if it's a 302, just a .040 over piston.

I knew it had to be something like that, my 5.0 is bored .03 over and its a 306.

I never said it had to be factory, Its gonna have a 3" body lift already installed on it. I just want the updated running gear so I dont have to pay a pretty penny for running gear parts.
