Computer Gurus, i need your wisdom

The power went out tuesday and my computer shut off, and since then, it has been horribly slow. Not just the internet, everything is slow. What can i do to fix this? I defragged my hard drive and cleaned it up, but that didn't help. Any ideas?

I had the exact same problem, I just let it start, and walked away from it for like 10 hours, after that it ran like it was before.

try restarting it several times...thats what i do

A hammer usually works. Always has for me :p

There is a little battery on the motherboard. Take that out for like 30 secs and put it back in. If a setting got screwed up during the power out this will fix it.

Its running a bit better now, i'll try the battery trick if it isn't better after the weekend, thanks for the help
