I was scammed out of thirty dollars on Ebay by a guy claiming he had a set of mudflaps for me... He claimed his camera quit working so he couldn't send pics, and I even talked to the guy on the phone, which is why I sent the money.... I noticed in his feedback that someone else was also scammed after me. This poor guy lost $200 in the form of a sent money order. Any ideas guys? I complained to Paypal, and they sided with me, but could not refund my money. I thought about going through the local police for help....
Here is everything I know about this person:

Stephen Davis
Email: ddcycles1@hotmail.com
Ebay ID: stephen9821
Address: P.O. Box 114, Bradford, ME 04410
Location given(on both auctions): Bradford, Maine
Phone Number (since disconnected): 207-659-0246
Auction number I responded to: 4539736148
Other auction number where guy lost $200: 4544971721
Other guy's Ebay ID who lost the money: dd24nascar

If you know who the other guy is who lost the $200, please put him in touch with me, and maybe we can formulate a plan to somehow recoup or losses... Thanks, James -thedeatons@hotmail.com-

if you paid with paypal then they are supposed to cover your purchase up to $1000.

He He it also seems that he is no longer a registered user either. I hope he gets more than just a deleted account

Did you use your credit card to pay Paypal? If you did notify your credit card company and they WILL not pay Paypal. Paypal is a scam too. They are owned by Ebay. Paypal wants to get out of it and thats why they said what they said to you. This happend to me to. It took a while but the credit card company sided with me since I didn't get what I paid for. Tell the card company that FRAUD was commited and they will back you 100%. Dont let Paypal get away with it!!

Perfect example of WHY NOT TO BID on this auction: Seller has no feedback. I never liked sending a money order unless the seller was close by.

I would only bid if I lived close enough to inspect it first. No pix, no lookie, no bid. No digital camera, huh? get a disposable and put it on cd at walgreens. Simple enough. Its not like digital cameras are that expensive anymore. You can score one for 20-30 $ for a kiddie cam. Not pro but it shows SOMETHING. Just gotta get close. 'They' sell 'them' on eBay too. I got a couple for the kids for xmas.

30 bucks sounds like a small tuition for a good lesson. Fahgeddaboutit.

Gonna have to agreee with Holic on that one. $30 ain't worth wasting your time over it. I enerally don't send money to anyone unless they have a good track record and some sort of history.
