Oh my f'ing god .... too much. 700cc, 44mm Fuel injected Raptor, thats all I have to say. 450 completely new Auto Wolverine with switchable 4x4 too. Wow. They also confirm that its the last year for the Banshee and Blaster.

You know I really wish these companies would put out some decent 100, 125, 150, 175, 200's. My kid is done with the 110, we put her on a utility older lt 160. But I need something just a touch smaller and lighter. We know they can make good fast machines. But every dang one of them is lacking in this area. I will be impressed with the company that produces that. Not the biggest cc. I know a touch off topic.

It's cool but I'll take the better handling 350cc less 450r over the 700 rappy anyday. I'd take the YFZ over it too.

^^^ I agree........... I'll just pay $500 less and buy a 450.
I hope (for all you yamaha fans) that this new raptor has some speed to it instead of just wasted torque............

You know, on second glance - that 450 Wolverine is really just the 450 utility without racks and with snazzier plastic. I don't think it would even come close to besting a Scrambler for pure sport 4x4 in anyway. Looks like they at least made the Raptor wider to try and make it less tippy (one of its faults for sure). Don't know how this will make it fare in the woods though, one of its strong points. I wouldn't doubt if its putting out at least 40hp now, up from 34. You gotta love that Aluminum sub-frame though. Can't wait to see what Honda comes up with in say, the next 5 years, to compete (lol). I did hear that Bombardier has something crazy in the works - and Polaris is suposedly releasing a 700 Scrambler too. Its a good time for ATVing - lets just hope the coming "Showdown" with the CPSC, dosent de-rail it (Oh, its coming).

If you haven't heard yet, they just released a 800cc(true 800) 4x4 quad. It also includes a load of gadgets!!

people at bluetraxx say it has 42 hp, the 700 raptor. I think that it may be able to take on the 450 out the in acceleration. I still dont like to front shock on it. cant wait to see the new suzuki 450. I cant want to see the test in dirtwheels in on the new raptor.

I don't know about all you guys, but I rode a raptor a while back, and I wasn't inpressed.... I thought the thing would be insanly fast!!! But not really.... The thing had loads of torque, but lets face it, in a sport quad who wants/needs torque!!! Buy a utility to tow stuff around the yard!!!! I am used of my awsome 300ex handling too so I didn't really thing the handling was noteworthy...
But what would I know, I'm just a HONDA man, lol

I want torque in any machine i buy. Are you really saying something has too much torque? Thats definitely the first time i've ever heard that. Try shifting sooner

Yamaha's MX bikes in the US were competition yellow and black up until 1985 when they picked up the white and red scheme.

Hence the anniversary edition.

Sorry My trike Sucks, I edited your post by accident. Hit the wrong button.  I think I got it back to the way it was.

Back in the day, I was sad to see the yellow and black go. But, a red and white anniversary edition with that "film strip" logo would be awesome too.

looks like im buyin a Banshee....im gettin a new quad, well i was gunna get a cr250, cuz pretty soon you wont be able to get a new one of them, and i reaaaalllly need a dirtbike, i cant do without one, but theres always the never-fail 2 stroke bikes of the 80s, buuut im gunna have to get the last of the after 06' ,dead breed

how much you wanna bet in 6-10 years, after ther end of the banshee, people are gunna start A) hatin on 2 strokes like they do trikes and B)" arent they outlawed?" .........lol that question pisses me off

i guess the shee had its share of sell time....my 350x is 20 years old now and the banshees are gunna be sold over a run of 20 years, and they werent the least popular quad out there, so theres enough to go around after 06 i guess

I can't wait to pick up a new raptor :-) ...IF I do, I will wait for the 07's. I know yamaha had troubles with their EFIS the first year on their sportbikes too.

If I rode more I'd own a yfz 450, I'd pick up the 05 yellow/black color combo. That new raptor sounds like it should be a real nice machine.

^^^ that is good news. I thought they'd ban all of them!!!!
Now we shall truly see who is king!!!
In my opinion, 250 2-stokes are about equel to the 450 4-strokes! Even though they have 200cc's on them, that makes 2-strokes better!!! :p :w00t:

^^Did you see the new honda 2-stroke motor??? It's the EXP-2 I think.... It meets the tree huggers laws...LOL beat them at their own game! 2-strokes are back b*tches!!! :w00t:

Haven't you guys been keeping an eye on the 2-stroke tech in both the water craft and snowmobile industries? There are some very efficient 2-strokes using forms of DI and SDI. Yamaha has basically gone to all 4-strokes in their sleds where as bombi has gone the clean 2-stroke route with their SDI system.

The honda EX2 is an old story...... i don't think it made it past final draft.
