my 86 250r is running rough from 1/2 throttle to wide open mostly in the first 3 gears. It is stock with a 145 main. Airbox lid is on. fuel is 92 octane with 32:1 yamalube. It starts easily and idles clean. When I blip throttle at idle it lags a bit then revs. It is 95 out here today at 1200 feet. I pulled the carb and cleaned it. It looks ok as do the reeds except for some wear marks on the throttle valve (slide?) I was planning on installing boyesen power reeds. Will these make a difference? plug is a br8es. It looks black after a few runs but not oil fouled, just a little black. Could this be an ignition problem? Am i just to rich on the main jet? thanks everyone.
