I've been watching auction #4568636131 for the last week and finally today won this 87 dashboard/ key switch for my 87 200x . I payed immediatly after the auction ended 1 hr later i recieve a e-mail saying that he was keeping this item for himself and refunded my money. this part as many know is hard to find and i need it to finish my 87 back to original. this seller is also a member here on the boards i think he should have had a reserve if he didn't want to sell it so cheaply I don't want to ramble on but I'm fuming in Indiana. Mr. + Mrs. Ebay don't much care for that kinda stuff. That IS just wrong and really bad judgement on the sellers part.

Seller is bound to a legally binding Ebay contract. Sue the MF, When he relists it it will have a reserve price.

Just make sure you leave him negative feedback. I have sold things on ebay that didn't bring nearly what I had hoped, but if it sells you gotta let it go. That kind of BS just ain't fair.

That 's not right. Ebay should not allow any one that works this way to ever sell on Ebay again. The honest people are always the ones that lose out on these situations.

However, I don't think a dashboard w/o a key for $40+ dollars wasn't a bad price... whats this "little bear" want??

Dale so it was you... I never even noticed.

You wouldnt mention that My computer was screwed up so I couldnt get on to end the auction before you won it??

Besides you were the guy who told me FACE TO FACE You'd give me $500 for this stupid key switch. Then when I got it You wouldnt cough up the cash. So not sticking to ones word is soemthing you sahould know about. I even sent you an email saying I would take your lesser offer.

But instead you waited and tried getting it for nothing. I'm sorry man. If I could have gotten on to end this auction, this would have never happened. I never would have let the part sell that cheap. Call me what you want guys, Say what you will, I'm not prepared to Give away this part for that much.

You should of put a reserve on it.

Say what you will, I'm not prepared to Give away this part for that much.

Then why did you list for a low starting price and didn't put a reserve on it? Think about this for a moment: Put yourself in the buyers shoes here. You would be just as Ticked off if this was done to you. Step up and do the right thing.

At any rate you can be assured a lot of people have read this thread. Some of them could have been a future "Potenial Buyer". But when you back out of a LEGAL and BINDING contract ( read the Ebay T.O.S. ) they will see it's not worth the headache to even bid on your stuff. Of course I am sure this wouldn't bother you.

All this over a Dash that ended at the average price they have sold for on Ebay. Totally Pathetic.

At any rate Thanks for helping seperate good sellers from BAD ones.

Really... $40 for a ignition switch that's keyless and a dash that either is a bad pic or look's like it's got road rash..... like Howdy said... $40 is about the going rate..... legally you need to send it to Indiana..... learn to put a reserve on it or an opening bid that's the minimum you'd take for it... send it to Indiana and maybe some people will forget about this and make it a lesson learned....

Just to up date this thread tyler has changed his mind and decided to complete this transaction as should have been done from the start. Far as offering the 500.00 for this part we must have miss understood what i said I had told tyler that i would pay 500.00 dollars for a 87 200x with the dash and key switch with it sight unseen with the rest of the trike in any condition as i have 7 86/87 200x trike s in various stages of either restore or parts and figured i could break even in the long run .. just a thanks to tyler for coming to a his senses to ship these parts.

That was good for Tyler54 to step up and do the right thing. LOL trying to blame it on his computer having problems. That is no excuse!!!!!!!!!!! A little computer maintenance and common sense keeps computers running well!!
