250R Parts. People like this make me mad..

This guy is parting out that entire bike. Look how nice that 250R is.. and he is parting it out. Now tell me.. why would you do that to a bike that runs AND looks awesome? I just dont get it..
But if anyone is looking for some nice 250R parts.. there you go. I think I saw a nice front fender and shrouds he was selling as well.

It is sad and stupid, but you can't blame him. He'll get WAY more money parting it out then selling it whole. Plus, it's just more parts for us 250R guys to buy, at least he recycles!!

Not even close. He's been buying a lot of the really clean trikes out here and parting them out for a while.

Another sad thing is that he probably bought that off someone for practicaly nothing. AQnd now , by pieceing it off on ebay , he will probably triple his profit. Great for people looking for some nice clean parts I suppose. :cry:

I'm not so sure he will get more $$? I mean isn't that worth between 2500 & 3000 in the shape it is in or WAS in? Even if it's only 2000 I can't see him making much more in parts.

Whats the motor worth 3-400? Frame 75? Wheels 100 -150? Shock 60? Front end (triples & forks) 100-150, brake calipers 50 each, carb 75, tank 100 so I'm at a 1010 bucks so far and he has to make another 1000-1500 to = the value of it put together, maybe even more - I just can't see him making out that good?

Am I way off in these prices? I think I am figuring high for some of these and there isn't all that much left.

Looking at it for a 2nd time I'd surely pay between 25 & 3000, anyone else?

Nah....I wouldnt, All maier plastics, no stock seat, no stock wheels and No OEM goodies, looks like the rattle can was out for the forks swinger and motor.
Dont get me wrong----Its nice, its clean but not 2500 -3000 clean. Motors get up to 600 -700 sometimes. I hate to say it but I think he'll make more parting it.

I don't really check out R's too much but I thought any nice one went for around 2000 or so? Guess it depends too on the supply of them in your area.

Being that I have 2800-2900 into it I'd like to think so. The ebay market for R's is beat right now. I will put mine in the east coast trader when I'm ready. I think i'll get more for it there because you rarely see them advertised.

That is a possibilty OldMan that these could be stolen. But the parts on these bikes do sell for a lot of money depending on model and condition. This bike in particular is very clean and nice and at the minimum worth at least $1800. Thats the hard part.....lol there is 1000000000000 guys that say they would pay that for a bike but only maybe 2-3% of those guys actually will pay that or more to get a really nice bike. I'm sure this guy if he has been doing this for a while knows this and has decided that the 2-3% would be hard to reach especially if they already have a nice complete one....Chris

I doubt they are stolen, if they were it wouldn't be to smart to post a picture of the assembled bike.
Anyone know what kind of pipe that is? Looks like a DG silencer and maybe FMF pipe? It's bringing some good money. I only paid $210 for my ESR ATC-5 brand new from ESR! That didn't include the silencer but if that's a DG silencer it's not worth much anyway.
