I found this when I was going through a bucket full of Tri-Z parts. I know it is not off a Z, so what is it off of? Any ideas would be appreciated.

looks almost like 2 of the same bolted together? or is one of them threaded and its actually one part?

It's not on any other Yamaha bike that I know of....the temp sending unit suggests either a dual sport, woods bike, or quad/trike of other make...

Are you sure you don't have one extra Z head to get rid of, by the way?

I have never seen one of these before. I am not sure where it even came from.

the thermostat kinda looks liek one i had on my cr500 i use dfor hill climbing, i belive the oen i had came off of an old kz1,000 streetbike, and i had it hooke dup to i digital guqage with the help of someone, cant rember who or how it worked but it did, and complimented my tiny tach verry well, btu i am almost sure it is of fof liek an old kz1,000 at least thats what i was told.

Thanks, that at least sends me in a direction.

I am going to post this up for sale becuase I have no use for it. So if some one here has a use for it or knows what it is let me know. I plan to let it go very cheap.

it will fit just abtu any liquid cooled bike or trike, just have to cut asn dpsplice coolant line and run the wirign to hook it up to a guage.then * can see what you need to do to mak eyour motor run cooler .
