I bid on and was watching a yamaha r5. It had less than 2 days to go and suddenly it is no longer available and the listing ended! It didn't say anywhere in the auction that the owner had it listed for sale locally. Can anyone just end an auction anytime they want? I was really hoping to pick the bike up for an aftermarket suspension frame that I have. It was the closest r5-rd350 that I had seen forsale, less than 100 miles away, what a royal bite in the posterior.

Best thing to do is contact the seller using his Ebay ID... Ask him what happened... Just because it didn't say listed locally doesn't mean he didn't tell his buds about it. Once people find out sellers are serious, they tend to buy the things they're selling quite quickly.....

It is a way of avoiding FVF fees.....

FVF = Final Value Fees. You pay an insertion fee to put the ad on ebay, and upon completion, LOL, pay a Final Value Fee, a percentage of the sale price. By cancelling the auction early, the seller avoids the fee.
