here are some pics from Iraq. I am a MK19 gunner. Thats what the big gun in the back round is. Its a 40MM automatic grenade launcher and its awsome. Most of the pic I have are from the turret of the hummvee while on convoys. That is why you will see the barrle in a few pics. Some other stuff is of me and my buddy, of course I had to throw in a pic of some camels ( i'm sick of them) Hope you enjoy

I was able to get parts for them and make them like new. I will take a pic of them tomorrow. There is a pic of us throwing candy to some iraqi children, some other pics of some hills and then me in the shop I work in, well tent I should say. Also a pic of a humvee I was working on. I will get some more pic tomorrow. These are from a few months ago.

Lets just say that if a camel got hit by a MK19 round it wouldn't have to worry about storing water anymore. Those are high explosive rounds. They will do quite a bit of damage. The range on that gun is 2200 meters. Thats equivelent to almost 22 football fields. Its kinda cool though. When you fire it you can see the round lob out for the first 50-100 meters then it just takes off. In the second set of pics, 3rd one in, you can see the rounds in the basket next to the gun. They are on links and go fast. Like I said it is an automatic gun. No semi. I think its awsome that the government has all these toys for us to play with:-)

Hey Sergeant, I have to give you a big "HOOAH!" from one soldier to another. I'm going back to the States in nine months, and hopefully I'll get a chance to spend a tour in the sandbox. I know about those HE rounds, too. I'm an M203 gunner, so I've shot more than a few, but they were only at ranges. Keep up the good work, brother.
