Well I only found one .338 and it was $800 so i settled for a 1946 Russian M44. Gonna sight her in tomorrow :D Comes with all the modern stuff including a bayonett

I like the m44 too. Cheap to shoot not like the magnums. If you get the right ammo, it makes for a great fireworks display in the evening. Mine had muzzle blast almost as long as the rifle. I think I was using Albanian ammo.
Recoil isn't all that bad either. I thought it was horrific when I first saw it shooting and was quite surprised when I got mine.

Yeah mine is a baby to shoot. i love it. We got some 180 grain full metal jacket Greek Ammo and that thing lits up during the day :D
