Lt500r Question

i replaced the counter shaft mainshaft, gears and the shift forks.. i brought the whole assembly off of ebay... my question to you is



wat will a bad shift drum cause? wat type of problems......


the bike when into second gear, it kinda skips a bit like its not fully into gear?

I had the exact same problem on an 88 LT500. Turns out the cause was worn engagement dogs on the side of the second gear. Gonna have to split those cases again....I know it sucks.

well its kinda wierd becuase the only thing i didnt replace with the other transmission parts was the shift drum....

now from the other previous transmission assembly it was doing the same thing in third gear?


maybe i can swap second gear fr0om the other spare transmission assembly?
