No, speed, dynamics and torque are all wrong either direction, using wood on metal or vise / versa has killed alot of people. DO NOT do this.

to an extent you can do wood and a metal lathe, but never the other way around

i have another question, i have 2 wood cutting band saws, they both have 1/2 hp electric motors, and the blade size is 127 inches (i think), can i use these for metal cutting if i switch to a metal cutting blade?

Yes you can do this with no issue, they have a diamond blade out in that range now, absoulutly awsome for stainless steel but any metal range blade will work for normal use, you may have to change pulleys if your cutting really heavy material.
