Real nice bike. I've been watching it since last night when it was at $1100. I just looked and it's now at $2000 with 8 days+ to go. Any guesses on what it will go for?

Although I'm guessing there's a chance some of those bids are stupid kids (or adults) running up the auction, I still don't understand why people bid on something so many times that has 8 days to go. Does one really think they're going to win the auction when they bid $500 or even $1000 or even $1500 when it has 8 DAYS??? I guess it's good for the seller, but I still don't see the point.

Why are so many 20 year old bearly used trikes popping up all of a sudden? :wondering

Dunno. Maybe word that they're starting to gather a lot of interest and money on eBay is getting out somehow?

I will agree with that. I just think it is strange how many of them there is. It would appear that the trike population is not as endangered as many of us once believed.

It surprises many people that rare low mileage muscle cars still pop up in a barn or after a death and its no secret they have been collectible for many years...Barrett Jackson auctions etc... This country is huge... some people dont hit the internet...There are many hidden gems upon us and surprises will come for many years..Thats why we all keep looking and some of us keep finding;)

Man I would love to have that 200X That is definatly one of their best looking Trikes ever. I wouldnt ride it much I think. Only at Fests and Dunes and Grass.:w00t:
It is definatly Hot to sell nice Trikes these days it seems. Its just a shame that no one will build us parts like they did with muscle cars. 20 years from now you wont see many Trikes.
If only there were a Rich and Famous Hot Rad Guy or somebody like that, that had the Meens to tool up for making Trike parts.:(

I was interested in this machine. I emailed the seller for some close ups of this machine.....He sent me the close ups and he signed his name Tyne in the email..... Well the $2000.00 dollar bidder is Tyne78...Who hails from Florida also....I am not bidding on something that the owner himself is bidding up himself....Do I have to much time on my hands or what during this holiday week???

Why would the seller bid on his own machine? Seems kinda fishy to me.

They do that to drive the price up.

It's cases like this that leads me to believe that eBay now has very little control over what occurs on the site.

Is anyone going to report him?

if you look the high bidder has feebdack from the seller and that tyne24. the high bidder lilcrazydevil left feedback for the seller and tyne24. seems like his friends are bidding it up or he has more then one name. not to honest.

that kind of stuff pmo so bad. i cannot stand dishonest people. something else that erks me on ebay is when a seller lists something and when it's almost over they end the auction cause the price is not high enough. put a reserve on the damm thing. that happened on a tecate and a 185s i was bidding on. i can understand not wanting to give something away but don't list something without a reserve then pull it.

ATCT

OK, well I filed a 'shill bidder' report with eBay listing what you guys said--Tyne24 and lilcrazydevil as the shill bidders. Hopefully something will happen. What bs.

ATCT
12-30-2005, 10:48 PM
Here is part of the e-mail I received from eBay.

"Thank you for taking the time to write to eBay's Safe Harbor
department. Shill bidding is a serious offense and we will investigate your report
as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.

We will investigate the accounts for possible shill bidding by looking
at the information you have provided as well as our internal records.
We will also compare this to bidding patterns and any other activity that
may have occurred involving the reported accounts.

If we are able to find evidence of shill bidding, our actions can range
from issuing an educational alert, a temporary suspension, or in some
cases an indefinite suspension. The type of action that we take depends
on the specific situation surrounding an individual account. Things
such as the existence of a previous warning, the nature of the offense and
the length of time as a community member will all be taken into
consideration. Repeated violations of policies will often result in the
suspension of a member's account.

Sometimes, what appears to be shill bidding may actually be a
legitimate bidding activity. This can occur for a number of reasons, for example,
a bidder may bid almost exclusively on one or two sellers whom they have
come to trust. If we find there is not enough evidence of shill
bidding,we may not take action against any of the reported accounts."

It doesn't seem all that promising.

Well the 200x is back on Ebay. The funny part is this time it is listed by yet another username with feedback from both the other 2 ebay usernames.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4601360475

So we now know this person shill bids a lot. Look who has left feedback for him/her.

gjohnson2600 <- Email from the item description is GJEquipment@aol.com

I just wonder what other username (s) they use?

This story is too unbeleivable. If eBay pulled the auction for shill bidding why would they let one of the other shill bidders relist it?

I guess we will just have to keep turning them (him/her) in huh?

i think gjohnson2600 was the original lister. tyne24 and lilcrazydevil were the shills. they must have just given him a warning and let him relist it with buy it now format so it couldnt be shill bid again. i put him on my favorites list so i can harrass him on every one of his auctions he has.

Well the thing with these is that they were a peak into the ATC future
Keyed ignition
Future color schemes

But the big value in these 87 200x's are the Numbers

1985 ATC 250r 26,844 units
1986 ATC 250r 13,093 units
1986 200X 18,000 units
1987 200x 3,700 units

And some people think the ATC 250rs are rare!!! I'll have 87 200x for sale soon:naughty:

Man, 3700 '87 200x's. And to think I had one at one time, back in 1994, didn't have the key switch though. Sold it in 1995 after I got divorced, sold the house, and didn't have any place to keep it. Wish I had it back now LOL.
