I mean like a stock truck, no chopped up frame or some "oh my buddy took a sawsall to the rear of his truck"

Probably a 68 econoline or 68-69 dodge flat front they were a full 8 foot box with a cabover design "unibody" rather than cab and box

Yeah I think the old Ford Econolines take the cake for this one. My family used to have a few. Cool little unit.

And if the truck is on a treadmill that goes just as fast in the opposite direction. Would it take off?

Econoline pickups were made in 62, 63, 64 and 65 at the very least. They are like the dodge a100 pickup truck. Don't forget the corvair greenbriar van and the vw single cab and dual cab pickup trucks. Depending on your version of "full size', you could choose from crosley, willys, thames or any other of the earlier vintage trucks that were considered full size.

That's what I'm saying, weird. I'm sure they are all about the same if you're talking F-150 vs. Ram vs. Silverado.

I'm sure they are all so close you won't be able to tell the difference. I bet they are within an inch or 2 of each other.

why do you want the shortest wheelbase? i have a ford f250 and it handles fine, tight turns arent great, but thats what you can expect with a full size truck, they are all the same.

If you want a truck and you want good gas mileage buy a ranger. Never thought I'd own one and one day I was drivin' down the road and saw one for 1200 bucks, pulled over and told the dude I'd give him 8oo cash for it and I have had it ever since. Zero rust and 23 or so MPG. Not that I care about gas it is just easier and more convineant than driving my f-250 with a solid front axle, big block, lifted, and off road tires around. Or get a toyota tacoma or somethin like that if you don't need a fullsize.
