Its a 1979 SRX440.Its been sitting in an unheated garage for the last 10 years with a sled cover on it.It also hasnt been started since then. It has no damage to the hood/winshield/bellypan.I'm sure the track and ski's have normal wear on them. The carbs, fuel tank and lines will have to be cleaned, change the coolant, new plugs, maybe a new belt.
How much is this sled worth?I'm not worried about getting it to run, just want to know how much I should offer for it.
Thanks

If you ask me I would say that is a highly desirable sled. I have Exciters from that era an they do pretty good wheelies and rip like mad. That sled is definetly your type.:Bounce It is hard to say what you should offer because every situation is different $0 to $1500ish but the less the better, right?:naughty:

They are a screaming little sled. I have seen them go on Ebay for $1000 to $3000. And from what I've seen they are becoming more desirable every year.

I'll come up with an offer when I get a better look at the sled.I had no idea they might be worth more than a grand.
I had a 1980 srx 440 but it had issues. If it got too hot for too long it would shut off and not restart until it was cool.It left me stranded away from home a few times.I think I spent maybe 5 hrs ridng that thing.the rest of the time it wouldnt start.I sold it in 1998.
I also used to ride a 1980 SS440 with a few mods/102c comet clutch. My SS440 was as clean looking as my tri-z's.The SS never let me down as far as reliability, always started first or second pull hot or cold.I had the clutch setup using a very light spring to engage at a very low RPM so that I could trail ride without screaming the pee outta the motor. To this day that is still my favorite vintage snowmobile.I sold tthe SS and SRX to the same guy. Then I bought my first Tri-Z.If I ever find another nice SS440 for sale for not too much $,I'm grabbin it.
