 Yep,thats right. The more I ride this thing the more I'm liking it. Its an 04 500 Sportsman HO. Independant rear suspension is awesome when you need it to be.It accelerates very smmoth; I'm still wishing it had a clutch and some gears to play with. I'm returning it to my boss before I decide to buy one.
Here's some pics of my trails/riding area.I have some very long movies of me trailriding while holding the camera and driving with thew other hand, but they are too long to post here.

We got my dad an 05 Kodiak 400 for Christmas. The more I rode it the more I wanted one. It just will crawl up and down and across anything. I use to really not like ute quads, but this one is very impressive.
Check out my boxing day vids in Riding of the 02 sportsman in action, the only complaints i have is, the 4wd only kicks in when it wants to (like 40% slip in the rear or some STUPID *Edited**Edited**Edited**Edited*) also the Axle Boots in the rear rip easy, they go thhough belts like NUTS, there heavy as all godawful things...And you cant run to wide of tires (such as bear claws) on the rear wthout them rubbing on the suspension linkage...other than that...make sure you wash the rad out constantly, The one i was riding was Used for MUD all summer and wasnt washed much, well guess what...it overheated and my frieds 200s has more power than it now....LOL other than that...fun quads

Forgot to add this.
These are 3 different streams in the pics. The movie is of me crossing the stream thats in the 3rd pic.
HondaATC-The climbing ability is what impresses me the most to.You dont need to be moving fast, just enough gas to turn the tires in low range and this polaris will go almost anywhere,The oem tires could use much improvement on the 500.
I doubt I'll ever buy a 4x4 quad.I would get a jeep first if the price is right.

My bro-in-law picked up a 500 HO Sportsman and I gotta say, for being a tank it's actually fun to ride.

I just bought myself a new 05 kodiak 400 for christmas too. I have put new mudlites and a 2" lift in it already. I love it, they are nice machines.

The Polaris ute's are very comfortable riding. I took my ATP trail riding yesterday and I had forgotten how comfortable it is, felt like I was standing up cause I was up so high. The 500HO is a pretty strong motor, very good for pulling and working.
Hey JIM you NEED to come play w/ us now!!!! I can show you stuff w/ that 4X4 you won't believe!!
