I have a few questions about plastic gas tanks, I am building a quadsport with a cl350 2 cylinder engine, and I have it all put together but the gas tank will need to be cut up,What I have to do is cutt off about 4 inches from the bottom of the tank, I can cut the tank myself, but is it possible to plastic weld the tank back together?,
Thanks for all your help.

are you looking to race this or just building it to trail ride and such? If its only drag races I'd say grab a gas tank that goes to like a 3 or 5hp briggs and stratton engine and use that.

NOT building to race, just something to hotrod around on, Ill race the occasional bragger once in a while but otherwhize Ill just be riding it on trails, and hitting jumps, I have heard of people plastic welding fenders, but never a tank.
Your better off finding a metal tank that is close, and cut/weld that to fit, I would advise you Gusset the all living crap outa that frame, there not that strong.....buddy put a 650 in his...didnt work to well..lol
