Are you looking for a specific brand-favorite forum. Like a Honda forum, or Yamaha forum? Or just a general one?

I used to have a suzuki gs550es and that thing was slow as a turtle. I was thinking of getting a 04 r6 but my friend told me I will get bored with it quick

I bought my 636 new in 03 and I'm not bored with it. I've ridden an 05 R1 and I was very disappointed with it, completely gutless on the bottom end and into the midrange, don't get me wrong it flew once you wrapped it out, but I was expecting to be just blown away with the speed... NOPE. Get a 600. The only reason to consider a liter bike is if you want to go 180mph. Not to mention the insurance difference. Just my .02.

buell's are nice bike for wat they are. A good 600 will blow them away...If i were looking in to getting my first sport bike, it would most likely be a HONDA f4i or a HONDA 600rr, but the KAWASAKI 636 is a verry different animal all togeteher. They are the fastest 600 calss bike and are lo mo bad as hell. My 17 year old cousin has one and they will pretty much clean the clocks of all 600 calls bikes, now the new 17,000 rpm r6 .....That is a different stoty all in its own... I ride a 2005 HAYABUSA and trust me as far as insurance goes.... you really want to stay in the 600cc class bikes. Full coverage for the liter nike and insurance in general is higher than a cats ass..Some of the 600's are over $5,000.00 a year....And no I didint stutter..Just the facts Jack...

Can I ask how old you guys are? My son wants a sport bike too. I'm just glad he can't afford one. By the time he can afford one I hope he outgrows his need for speed.

I'm 17 and ride a RF900R. Nice sports tourer. Plenty of get up and go. Top speed is around 165mph. Fast enough for me.

I was 20 when I bought my 636. Full coverage then was 850 or so a year for me. Its down to around 550 now, but a lot of my friends that have had quotes for 600s have been over twice that and they had clean records too. Not sure how that worked out but I'm not complaining. Oh and for a good sportbike site check out www.uponone.com. Haven't checked out the forums but they have some awesome videos.
