1990 arctic cat jag

I have recently bought a 1990 440 jag chassis, and I have planted a 1981 500 engine in there, all the electrical coonections coming from the engine and going into the jag chassis are the same, so i whent to start the engine and it started up, but i coundnt shut it down, the ignition switch wont shut it down, and the plastic thing on the kill switch button is broken so I had to pull te plug caps off to kill it, do just have a bad ignition switch?, also I rebuilt the rewind and it worked perfect off the machine, but when I put the rewind on the engine i can pull it about 2-3 imes andd then it gets stuck out and wont retract, what could be the prolem?

was the 1981 arctic cat pantera with a 500 spirit engine, oil injected and if so can I just pre-mix the oil and not use the oil injection?
