For those of you wandering there is a lot going on with the ATV/ATC world these days. First off, you probobly noticed the technology of ATV's has become ridiculous. These new atv's are fast as hell and they are putting some good technology into them. Most importantly the companies are beginning to make machines and parts more interchangeable. This increases mass production and decreases price. Have you compared brake pad prices of cars to atv's?? This is because there was not as much demand. However, because of the internet and general popularity products have decreased in price and increased in quality. For example, remember Maier fenders in the 90's. They were cheap didn't fit right, color was off. Now they are smooth, a more duable plastic and just look better. Tire prices have decreased signifigantly too.

Our beloved ATC's have been effected greatly by all this. A lot more people are looking to get a trike now, and those who used to have one are looking to get one again. The bikes that are left now are either parts bikes or they are mint and the price for a hot ATC is in the $2000 range. it will only go up. HOLD ONTO YOUR TRIKES. they are getting rare but parts are more available too so right now is the best time to own and ride.

Lets just say I could probably sell both of my Big Reds to the right person (sucker) up here for barely less or maybe more than I got my Chevy for.

The prices for a Big Red up here are getting crazy.

For sure man, somewhere around 2 years ago someone figured that a beater chain drive Big Red was worth $1200 plus, and well, everyone got on the boat because the quads were costing as much as small brand new trucks so now quads are starting to go down and the trikes have stayed up.

I totally believe it, the buysell is possibly the most expensive next to the Canada trader. I find its better to get an old trike by finding a farmer who just bought a new quad and has an old beater trike kicking around in the back of his shop taking up space. Then I'll pick it up, and it will take up space in my shop!

Except I actually run them and work on them.

Those may be the asking prices but did they get it? I know ebay has got crazy latley but I still find local trikes for a good price. Even on ebay some times. I have seend people listing 250Rs for around $1200 or so, but their add seems to run for ever with no one buying it.

I'm not sure if they're getting those prices or not, but the thing is, you never see a Big Red listed for 1000 anymore, its pretty insane.

I just heared about 2 Big Reds for $800. In my erea I know there is 2 250Rs for $250 & $350. There is also a 84 200x for $300. I find them cheap all the time. I can't even buy them all I find so many. Sure I see people asking for $1200 for the Rs but I don't see them get it in the local adds.

I agree with you Goingbroke people pay to much for stuff every day. A good example is the 250R switches on ebay. They get over $200. You can still buy them new from Honda for about $60. It doesn't make it worth over $200. It means I going to order about 10 of them & sit on them untill they are made no longer.

I see a 200x on craigslist in seattle for $500, needs parts and the guy doesn't seem to know much about bikes/atv's. If I had the money I'd probably take a look.
