Whats the speed rating on those things?  Looking at using 18inch Turf Savers for my street project this summer so I need to know how they would handle high speeds on pavement. Think they could handle about 70 hp? :Bounce  Really don't want to shell out the cash for Hoosiers.

LOL!!!! Lawn mower tires, at high speed? That's like a wagon wheel at 100 mph. LOL, no seriously I dont know. It looks like it would prolly handle about 50 mph.

Lawn and garden tires wouldn't be speed rated. :Bounce

I think they'd hold up. How much for a good set of Hoosiers anyway?

Yup, well proven in flattrack and those events but I'm talkin strictly street use with some dirt roads on occasion. I don't want a tire to shread at 200 plus KPH.

What are they going on an ATC or an ATV or something else?

350X axle, shock, wheels and swinger, CB750 everything else. Streetbike VIN so its all legal in this Province.

Some gearing changes and I'm sure it'd be capable of 200km +.

If you register it for the road dont you have to use DOT approved tires? Such as a Hoosier, i wouldnt run lawmower tires.....Not Strong enough, they would expand like crazy...and possibly cause a blow out.

They should hold up fine, just dont try to do donuts or anything. They dont have beadlock. Other than that they would hold up. Hell i have had my lawn mower doing 40 or so around a turn being pulled by a 200. Tires held up fine!

Being pulled and Putting power to the ground are 2 complete diffrent things i would NOT run them....At speeds excess of 100mph they would Grow HUGE....plyes start seprating then BANG your tire go's out and your allover the road DEAD...DONT USE LAWMOWER TIRES there only rated for 40 Tops.

Doughnuts wouldn't be a problem m8 its the heating and expanding that is the issue.

Thats the beauty of our motorcycle registry, no inspection...ever. Even if their salvage title all you need to do is pay a bit of cash to get it passed and then fix it and stick it back on the highway.

How much a good set of 18 or 20 inch ashfault circle track tires cost? Be it American Racer (did I get their name right?) or Hoosier? Eighteens on a ten inch wheel would be nice! I'm going to be so broke after this...

ever coincider a golf kart type tire, i had some on a 250r, and they handled 70-80mph fine. just have to use an 8 inch rim from a 200x or a 250sx or somethign depending what kinda machine your puttign them on, or another option is some of the old fords liek the old 4 lug mustang rims fit on the honda foreman450es i belive its the samer as most other hondas i belive 4 on 110 bolt patern. just throwing a few other ideas out there.

if your building a custom trike, then take the time to do it right, especially if your going to be riding it on the street going that fast!

Use a 9 or 10 inch alluminum rim with Hoosier or American Racing tires, it will be worth the money,
