Are there any issues about getting parts for the '85 motor?

the tranny on the 85 is the weakest but i would not let that scare you away. the 85 tranny only has two dogs per gear and the rest have four.

that is a very nice conversion

Yeah but is it hard to get parts for the 85 motor or has anyone heard of a problem? Also do the 85 motors mount the same as the new motors?

It doesn't look like the same brake lever. Do you think he did it that way so the kicker would clear?

nope, that is a stock pedal that has been cut and turned over. not a bad idea but it messes with ground clearance.

Thats a great bike. I like the fact that its an '85 CR 500 engine and an '85 R.

That '85 CR 500 engine is lengendary. Its the only CR 500 engine year thats close to the KTM 550 engine in terms of power.

All the other CR's won't hang. Great year engine...
