My dad as a hobby restores old tractors (his favorites are his hart-parrs). So anyone into these old buggers?

the oliver 70 rowcrop is one of his rarest. Only 7 know to exist in the world.

Wow! That's quite a colection! I would trade my 3 wheeler collection for those babies! I'm going to guess that your dad might not be interested!

those are very cool! anything thats that old and looks like new is badass in my book! my grandfather restored a few old farmhall tractors. I think a 300 utility, an F12, and an F20 for sure.

yeah thats a nice 620. He like the rarer tractors to fix up. Like hartparr, shepart, custom, and the harder to find McCormic Derring-International

I had an oliver 70. think it was a little newer than your dads and I gave it a resto that included a built big block chebby, dual disk clutch, rack and pinion steering and a few other goodies. looks like an old cockshutt there too. I have some pics, but I cant get them to post off my scanner.

we have pretty many old tractors. right now i'm working on a '39 john deere B. but other than that one non are painted all that great but most run.
Like 2-3 years ago my uncle bought about 5 Hart-parr's/ olivers from one of his friends and they look kinda rare to me (i like john deere, ford, and international) i don't know much about hart parr's/olivers. but they are on steel have fenders and some have single front wheels, (yes, that makes them a 3 wheeler)

are the hart parrs on 1 front wheel?

Beautiful tractors!!!!! I collect classic tractors as well, however I currently do not have time to restore them. That is a beautiful collection, and your Hart Parr's have the winged radiator caps on them!!! Hold onto those, especially if they are original, EVERYONE want's one of those where I am. I personally have A 40's-50's John Deere AR, a 50's Oliver 88, a 40's Case S, A 50's Massey Harris 44K (thee 44K has power steering). I also have a 69 Case 930 but that isn't very classic compared to my others or especially yours.

Old Hart Parrs are getting quite rare around here, I know of only 3 near me that are privately owned, I also saw one (a 12-24) go up for sale at an auction, it went for 10 000 unrestored and non running (luckily to a museum where it will be restored rather than left to rust). I also know of one Oliver-Hart Parr that is privately owned.

Hold onto those Hart Parr's and one thing as well, the one that says oliver hart parr on the radiator is quite rare, that is from the intermediatte years between when they were labelled either just hart parr or just oliver before oliver took over hart parr.

NEVER let any old tractors, threshers, combines, plowsor any farm implements go to the scrappers!!!!!! It is my personal vow to save as much vintage farm machinery from being melted down or crushed as I can. We need to act now to save these pieces of history so future generations can see how our ancestors made the praries what they are today.

we belong to an antique tractor club where 3 days out of the year we get together and use antique plows and use these machines for what they were meant for. Thats why he has alot of tools and machinery lining the wall there. He has some old adds, magnetos and all kinds of other stuff.

There is a guy by the name of Bill Campbell up in Onterio. He has an insane collection. My dad and his friend do all the painting and piecing and Bill does the engine work. My favorite of his is the old Hart parr 28-50. Kick ass!

Oh and I wish i had pics of them, our tractor club currently owns 2 old Case thrashers which we use at our tractor show. The things are just insanely HUGE.

That is just awesome! We bought a Waterloo Thresher at an auction sale for $40!!!! (I'll take a dozen) However, very unfortunately, We discovered that the 24' flatdeck would not hault it, and the guy who agreed to haul it for us came back to us that afternoon and decided he'd had a change of heart and wouldn't haul it for us. Needless to say we were heartbroken to have to leave the thing behind at where the auction was. We looked for people to haul it to no avail and noone would haul it for us, so we eventually thought about hauling it by chaining it to the hitch of my pickup and hauling it to the farm at 2 in the morning, but besides being highly illegal, and since we'd have to cut up rubber tyres and wire them to the steel wheels of the thresher, we decided against it, especially since our farm is between 2 hills and on a gravel road. Needless to say I'm still heartbroken over loosing that thing to this day. However, I'd gladly spend 40 dollars to avoid someone melting it down.

Your dad has some real nice tractors. I like the Oliver with the orchard fenders. I used to collect JD lawn & garden tractors. I was up to 15 and had over 30 attachments ncluding a first year low serial # 1963 110. I sold my collection and now collect vintage minibikes and ATV's. I have a small collection of some rare stuff.

I was looking through some old photos and I found one of his old restores. He got the tractor in '96 according to the pic and the last pic is in '97. Pictures go in order of restore. I'm gonna go look for some more.

I'm buying a property now that will require me to buy a tractor to keep it mowed., I've always liked the old Ford 8N models. They are not rare but if restored right they sure look nice, but Ive always liked the Red and Grey.

hmm ok maybe I didnt attach pics, Jeez lets try again.

I think the 8Ns look alot nicer than the 9Ns. My dad restored a 9N and it just didnt look right. But we have a 8N I'm thinking about restoring if he lets me.
